We can’t out give God. This is a biblical principle that has been proven millions of times over! If we trust God to save us and keep us, doesn’t it make sense to trust Him to take care of our daily needs?

The victory has already been won! Satan is already defeated! We just have to claim what Jesus did and hold on to what He has already done!!!

That light has already come and His name is Jesus! He came the first time to bring salvation to all who would repent of their sins and confess Him as both Savior and Lord. The second time He comes it will be for judgment on the world! When He comes again if you’ve not already done this, it will be too late! He could return at any time. Are you ready to meet Him?

This picture was taken of my father shortly after he and my mother married so it would have been in the late 1940’s. Today would have been his 95th birthday. He was not a perfect man by any stretch of the imagination but he was a good man and as a boy, I wanted to be like him. He was a farmer and farming was the only real job he ever had. He did have a job working in a local factory that lasted one day. He decided very quickly that being inside doing the same repetitious thing hundreds of times a day was not something he wanted to do! Being a farm boy, he only had an eighth grade education (which is more than a high school education now) but he was one of the smartest men I knew. He wouldn’t have been considered so by worldly standards but he was smart in the things that mattered. He loved his family, the LORD, and he was a man of integrity. I saw him make business deals just by shaking another man’s hand. He taught me and my siblings the value of hard work. He knew the importance of keeping one’s word and respect for authority. I remember him telling me as a teenage boy that he had worked his whole life to make a good name for our family and I could ruin that in one night. Again, he wasn’t perfect but he taught me what was important in life! I miss him every single day! I love you Dad and I will see you again! Happy Birthday!!

There is not one thing that any of us has that we got on our own. Sure, we may have worked hard for something but where did we get the strength to work? Or we may have studied and gotten a good job but who gave us a brain to use and a mind to think or a heart to beat or lungs to breathe? EVERYTHING we have that is good comes from God. When we realize this simple fact, it’s so easy to be grateful and thankful no matter our circumstances! Give thank you God Almighty today for all you have been given and remember that God blesses us so that we may be a blessing to others!

I know this to be true and it is something I try to do ever single day - many times! God has blessed me far beyond what I deserve and I am so thankful. Even when things don’t look good on the outside or when my world has fallen apart, God is still good!!!

We all trust in something. Many times we find the things or people we place our trust in are not trustworthy. However, that will never be said about God! He has proven to me many times over that He is trustworthy. I am trusting Him! What about you?
